This Privacy Policy explains how One Cedar ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Golazo, our World Cup 2026 prediction app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and we never sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use Golazo's social features, you choose and provide:
- A display name and an avatar you select
- League / room names you create, and the codes you use to join leagues
- Your match score predictions
If you contact us, we also collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Golazo may collect the following through Apple and third-party services:
- A device identifier used to associate your predictions and league membership with your device
- Crash data and diagnostics to improve app stability
- In-app activity used for analytics — for example when a prediction is made, a league is created or joined, or the subscription screen is viewed
- Game Center data, if you enable Game Center, for leaderboards and achievements
How We Use Your Information
- Run prediction leagues and display leaderboards
- Sync your predictions and profile across your devices via iCloud
- Measure app performance, understand engagement, and fix bugs
- Process and restore in-app purchases and subscriptions
- Respond to your inquiries and comply with legal obligations
Subscriptions & Purchases
Golazo offers an optional auto-renewable monthly subscription (Golazo Premium) and a one-time "Super Fan" purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Subscription status is managed by Apple and may be synced to your devices via your Apple account. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your App Store account settings.
iCloud Sync
Your predictions and profile preferences are stored in Apple's iCloud key-value store so they stay consistent across your devices. This data is tied to your Apple ID and governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to your Apple ID credentials.
Third-Party Services
Golazo uses the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — to process subscriptions and purchases
- Apple iCloud — to sync your predictions and profile across devices
- Apple Game Center — for optional leaderboards and achievements
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — to understand app usage and diagnose crashes
- football-data.org and OpenLigaDB — to retrieve match schedules and scores (these provide data to the app; they do not receive your personal information)
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. The display name and avatar you choose are visible to other members of leagues you join, and may appear on global leaderboards within the app. We may otherwise share information only with service providers who help us operate Golazo, when required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Data Retention
League and prediction data is retained while your leagues remain active. Contact form submissions are kept no longer than necessary to respond, typically up to 12 months. Analytics data is retained according to our third-party providers' policies.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, or to request deletion of your Golazo league data, contact us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
Golazo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
